Fiona has over 25 years of advocacy experience in HIV and sex work, mainly in policy development and lobbying, she believes that the fundamental way to tackle stigma and discrimination is through policy change. People need rights not concessions.
She was awarded a Winston Churchill travelling fellowship in 2016 and studied diversion schemes in the UK and the US. She is currently a fellow on the Clore Experienced leadership program.
I have an interest in social justice movements, how they are formed and what motivates them. I saw there was a gap between drug policy reform and recovery. Recovering Justice seek to bridge that gap and create a truly truth to power organisation
Co Founder Fiona leads on the vision of the organisation and is currently community advisor to the chief constable of County Durham representing him at several national/international conferences.
