Scott is a Mechanical Engineer by education and works as a Key Account Manager in a local engineering company. He has personal experience of problematic substance misuse and identifies as a person in long term recovery. Scott has been on the board of Recovering Justice for 4 years.
I believe the stigmatisation and criminalisation of people with problematic substance issues is a major impediment to them finding their own personal form of recovery. Dealing with these issues as a health issue – not a criminal one – greatly improves the lives of individuals and as is becoming increasingly obvious from the data, improves society as a whole.
I work with the board to support the outward facing Directors in an administrative and practical role, helping to build an organisation which will support our shared vision.
